Marisa L. Dudiak's second-grade class in Frederick Country, Md uses blogs in the classroom. They returned from a field trip from a Native American farm, and all the students wanted to do was talk about what they saw. But instead of leading a discussion about the trip, Mrs. Dudiak had the students sign on to their classroom web log. They wrote about learning to use a bow and arrow, sitting inside a tepee and petting a buffalo. The blogs allowed them to interact with their peers more quickley than a journal and quiet children in class usually come alive online. In my EDM class I have learned how to do so many things I have learned how to make power points, make trifold brochures, make web sites, do blogging, do spreadsheets and how to use microsoft word to make headers and footers and tab charts.
